Sindhu Nepolean is currently based in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She is a Media fellow of Asoka University and received the National Foundation for India's media fellowship for independent journalists. She is a Postgraduate in Communication & Media Studies from the University of Hyderabad and was a former broadcast journalist for Asianet News, a prominent Malayalam news channel. Since 2020, she has been managing Radio monsoon, a community-based marine weather dissemination service for artisanal fishers in Southern Kerala as part of a research project titled 'Forecasting with Fishers' coordinated by a group of researchers from the University of Sussex, UK. She also worked as a Research Assistant at IIT Madras for a project titled 'Managing Covid-19 in India’s Cities: Reshaping People’s Everyday Lives in Poorer Urban Neighbourhoods Project'. She writes about Coastal communities, Human rights, Gender, Education, and a lot more.
