Johnson Jament is now working as a Visiting Research Fellow for the School of Global Studies, University of Sussex, UK from India. He holds a PhD from the University of Northampton, UK and has worked a Post-Doctoral Research Associate and a Consultant for the University of Sussex Forecasting with Fishers project in Kerala. Earlier he was a teacher educator for the University of Northampton's MA Education and PhD program in India, Bangalore. He has published academic articles in international peer reviewed journals and presented papers in international conferences. He has contributed to both UN Ocean Conferences in Lisbon (2022) and New York (2017). Recently he was invited to deliver a session for the UN Water Conference in New York and UN Asia - Pacific Regional conference in Bangkok. He is a contributing author to the UNESCO - IPBES on Marine issues in Asia Pacific region. He is one of the panellists for many UN programmes in connection with education, indigenous science and artisanal fishers livelihood issues.
